Alex Monroe (Lewistown, Pa./Indian Valley) of the Lock Haven University men's indoor track & field team has been named this week's GoLHU.com male athlete of the week.

Monroe earned All-American status after placing sixth in the men's 3,000 meter run on Saturday, March 9 as The Haven closed out competition at the 2013 NCAA Championships.

Monroe set a school record of 8:13.84 on the way to his sixth-place finish.
