About Lock Haven Athletics:
Lock Haven's Official Athletics Website: wwwGoLHU.com

Lock Haven University sponsors 21 intercollegiate athletic programs, including storied NCAA Division I field hockey and wrestling programs. The seven-time national champion field hockey team currently calls the Atlantic 10 Conference home as an affiliate member. In 2019, the wrestling program was part of a historic expansion, joining the Mid-American Conference as an affiliate member. All other teams compete at the NCAA Division II level within the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference.

The 2018-19 academic year proved to be a monumental one for Lock Haven athletics, thanks to unrivaled growth. In August 2018, the university announced the return of women's tennis and the addition of women's golf. Tennis and golf pushed Lock Haven's varsity athletic offerings to 19 sports and that number grew to 20 with the addition of women's wrestling in May 2019.

In 2021 Lock Haven Athletics reinstated the men's indoor track and field program, growing the number of offered sports to 21.

On the men's side, Lock Haven sponsors football, soccer, cross country, wrestling, basketball, baseball, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field. On the women's side, Lock Haven sponsors field hockey, soccer, volleyball, tennis, cross country, wrestling, basketball, swimming, indoor track & field, outdoor track & field, golf, lacrosse and softball. Historically, Lock Haven teams have won 17 team national championships in five different sports and have claimed over 110 team conference titles. Approximately 400-plus Lock Haven student-athletes volunteer thousands of hours in the local community and surrounding areas on an annual basis. Traditionally, Bald Eagle student-athletes achieve both a graduation rate and academic success rate at a higher level than the general student population.
