Freshman Sarah Gomish of the LHU volleyball team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways / GoLHU.com Women’s Athlete of the Week.

Gomish has had sensational rookie campaign, with a total of 67 kills and a .296 hitting percentage on the season.

Gomish helped lead the Lady Eagles this past weekend in two huge conference wins over East Stroudsburg and Kutztown. Against ESU, Gomish recorded 10 kills off of 32 attempts, and added eight digs in the win. In the second match against Kutztown, Gomish led LHU with a game-high 22 kills, averaging 5.50 kills per game. Gomish dished out four assists and added nine digs in the win.
