Jarryd Burkett (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) jumped started the Bald Eagles offense on Saturday night as the Lock Haven football team opened the year with a thriller.

Despite, falling 21-20 Burkett was sensational under center. He passed for 281 yards and two touchdowns. He was 21-for-39 with one interception.

Burkett's solid play sparked a well balanced offensive effort that put up some big numbers.

It marked the first time since 2004 against Clarion that the Bald Eagles had a player rush for over 100 yards and a receiver bring in 100.
