Jake Heim of the LHU men’s track and field team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways / GoLHU.com Men’s Athlete of the Week.

Senior Jake Heim continues to pace all PSAC weight throwers. This weekend he turned in pair monumental performances, as he recorded personal-best throws on consecutive days. On Friday he threw a personal best of 58-05.24, which at the time took over the top spot in the PSAC. On Saturday, he returned to competition in the weight throw and threw 60-02.00 for another personal-best, while improving on his PSAC lead. His throw of 60-02.00 on Saturday is not only the best mark in the PSAC this season by nearly two feet, but it also ranks 22nd in all of Division II. The NCAA provisional mark is the second-best throw in school history.
