Bekah Slattery of the LHU softball team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Female’s Athlete of the Week.

LHU freshman pitcher Bekah Slattery has been nothing short of spectacular over her last five outings (4 starts, 1 relief appearance). Last Tuesday’s win at Florida Southern sparked a strong week that saw her go 4-0 in four starts and she added a save on Saturday. Over Slattery’s last four starts (27 innings), she’s allowed just one run. Over her last total 29.1 innings, she’s allowed just one run. In that week-opening win at Florida Southern, she struck out a career-high 10. It marked the first of three straight complete-game shutouts. Over 29.1 total innings last week, Slattery limited the opposition to just a .181 batting average. She struck out 26 and walked only six. 

LHU begins conference play this Saturday (March 19^th) at home against East Stroudsburg in a double-header at Lawrence Field.
