Men’s
Alex Coburn of the LHU men's track & field team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Men’s Athlete of the Week.

Junior Alex Coburn had a big weekend for the LHU track & field team. Individually, he recorded the second-fastest men’s 800-meter time in the PSAC so far this season and starred on three Bald Eagle relay teams that turned in historic outings. Coburn ran 1:55.28 in the 800 on Friday and was seventh out of 90 in the University Division. He was the top NCAA Division II finisher.

On Saturday, Coburn ran on three Lock Haven relays, including the 4x1500 meter relay, which smashed a 17-year old record. LHU was eighth overall and Coburn split 4:04.00 (would rank top-15 in PSAC; team was top D2, 16:11.30). Coburn split 1:55.5 in an 800-meter leg of the Spring Medley Relay that ran LHU’s No. 2 all-time mark and finished seventh overall (top D2, 3:31.49). He rounded out a gutsy Saturday with a solid 52.2 anchor leg on the 4x400 meter relay (LHU’s fastest split).
