Freshman Tyler Burger (Shickshinny, Pa./Northwest)
Burger, Lock Haven’s freshman phenom had another huge week. At the Kutztown Mondshein Multis, he was second in the decathlon with 6,454 points. It’s the second-best mark in the PSAC this season, topping the No. 2 mark by 284 points. The NCAA provisional mark for Burger currently ranks 17th in Division II. What’s even more impressive is that it was the first decathlon Burger ever competed in. It’s the fourth-best mark in LHU history. Burger hit a number of individual-event PSAC marks, including one in the long jump, where he set a meet record (22-05.25). He clocked the second-fastest times in meet history in the 100-meter dash (11.17) and the 400 (50.35). Burger also hit a personal-best in the shot put.
