Lock Haven Athletics

Sophomore Chris Ammann (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown-West) of the Lock Haven University men’s indoor track & field team earned All-American status after a seventh-place finish in the heptathlon at the 2011 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships and is recognized as GoLHU.com's Male Athlete of the Week.

Ammann recorded five personal best marks in the seven-event competition and his 4,965 points are a Lock Haven school record.

He becomes the first ever LHU male athlete to earn All-American status in the heptathlon and is the first Bald Eagle to earn All-American status in the multi-event competition since Matt Stinson was seventh in the decathlon (outdoor) in 2002.
