Freshman Ralph Hyland of the football team helped lead LHU to a huge Homecoming-win on Saturday (Week 7; Oct. 15).

 Hyland’s career-high 104 yards on the ground sparked a big team-rushing day for LHU (228 yards) and it was certainly the biggest difference in the outcome, a hard-fought 29-17 win over Millersville. It marked Lock Haven’s second straight win of the season and moved the Bald Eagles to 2-2 in PSAC East action.

Hyland carried the ball a career-high 17 times (long of 48, avg. 6.1) and scored one TD. His TD run early in the third quarter gave LHU its first lead of the day.
