Tarojae Brake of the LHU men’s basketball team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Men’s Athlete of the Week.

The true-freshman has been solid all season for Lock Haven off the bench, but his play over the last two games – both crucial PSAC East wins – has gone to another level for the Bald Eagles.

Last week, LHU dominated Cheyney and rallied past West Chester and Brake averaged 23 points. He scored 15 in the win over Cheyney and dropped a career-high 31 in the win over West Chester.

With LHU trailing West Chester by 11, 83-72 with 4:02 to play, Brake went on a tear scoring all 14 of LHU’s points in the final four minutes of the game. The run including a trio of 3-pointers from Brake, who added seven rebounds in the win over West Chester, one that keeps LHU’s playoff hopes alive.
