Addison Monroe of the LHU men’s track & field team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Men’s Athlete of the Week.

Monroe competed at the indoor Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships where he was named the outstanding track athlete of the meet for his victories in the 3K and 5K.

In the 3K Monroe had a photo finish as he out leaned second place by .02 seconds and third place by .84 seconds crossing the line in 8:33.10.

Monroe dominated the field in the 5K finishing in 14:45.56 which was 18 seconds ahead of the next competitor.

This marked his first and second individual PSAC track & field championship as he won the PSAC cross country championship in the fall.
