Hunter Szaflarski of the LHU baseball team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Men’s Athlete of the Week.

Szaflarski led LHU to a 4-2 week, which included a 2-2 series split with No. 24 Millersville. The Bald Eagles swept Millersville Saturday and moved to 27-11 overall. The 27 wins are the most since the 1997 season and the third-most in school history for a single season.

Szaflarski started all six games last week and hit .412 (7 for 17) with a home run, four doubles and six RBIs. He had a .824 slugging percentage and a .476 on-base percentage. He was also 2 for 2 on stolen-base attempts and didn’t commit an error at second base. In Saturday’s sweep of Millersville, he was a combined 3 for 5 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored.
