Alyscia Smith of the LHU field hockey team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Female’s Athlete of the Week.

The Bald Eagles beat Sacred Heart Friday (Aug. 25) and downed Central Michigan on Sunday (Aug. 27) in an overtime-thriller. Smith scored the game-winning goal in both contests including the overtime-winner just 54 seconds into OT in the victory over visiting CMU.

On Friday, in the 4-1 win over Sacred Heart, Smith added two assists to go along with her game-winning strike.

In The Haven’s contest against Towson Smith continued her torrid start as she scored two more times and assisted on one goal in the 4-2 victory.
