Ronnie Perry of the LHU wrestling team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Men’s Athlete of the Week.

No win was bigger in the Bald Eagles upset of No. 11 Rutgers Friday night than Perry’s at 149 pounds. Perry, ranked No. 15, dominated No. 13 Eleazar DeLuca. It was a workmanlike effort from Perry, who won 5-1 in the only bout of the dual featuring two nationally-ranked wrestlers.

Perry racked up 1:35 of riding time and the win tied the dual 7-7, which help pave the way for the upset-victory as both teams won five bouts. It marked Lock Haven’s first upset of a top-25 team in nearly 12 years.
