Ronnie Perry of the LHU wrestling team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Men’s Athlete of the Week.

Ronnie Perry (Christiana, Pa./Solanco) went 3-0 at the Bald Eagle Duals on Saturday to extend his win streak to 12 matches. The three wins also helped the Bald Eagles pick up lopsided dual meet wins over Wheeling Jesuit (No. 23 DII) and Messiah (No. 14 DIII), before rolling past PSAC and EWL foe Bloomsburg, 37-2. Perry’s three wins pushed him to 85 career wins as he looks to become LHU’s 20^th 100-win club member later this season. The 13^th ranked redshirt-senior won all three bouts by way of tech fall, racking up 66 points in less than 21 minutes. Perry outscored his opponents 66-20.

He opened the day with a 16-0 tech fall of Wheeling Jesuit’s Daniel Romero that took just 1:55. Perry followed it up with a 26-11 workmanlike effort vs. Messiah’s Stephen Maloney. He capped the day with a clinical performance vs. Bloomsburg’s Ryan Stocku. Perry won 24-9 and ended the bout at the 6:20 mark.
