Amir Hinton of the LHU men’s basketball team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Men’s Athlete of the Week.

Hinton, a redshirt sophomore, has continued to dominate in an all-around fashion. He helped lead the Bald Eagles to a 1-1 record last week with a big win over Mansfield and a close loss on the road to Bloomsburg. In all, he averaged 20 points per game, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals.

In the contest vs Mansfield, Hinton dropped 22 points while hauling in eight total rebounds and dished out three assists. Against Bloomsburg, Hinton had two high flying dunks that sent the Bloomsburg crowd into a frenzy. He ended the game with 18 points, five rebounds and four assists.
