Laurel Moyer of the LHU women’s track and field team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Female Athlete of the Week.

Moyer competed at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) indoor track and field championships this past weekend hosted by Edinboro University.

Moyer, a freshman, proved to the PSAC why she held the number one seed in the 5,000-meter race going into the championship meet as she won the event by five seconds. She crossed the line in 17:36.09 which was nearly 10 seconds faster than her season best time and ranks number two all-time in LHU history.

She also competed in the 3,000-meter race where she finished in eighth place with a time of 10:17.85.
