Alex Klucker of the LHU wrestling team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Men’s Athlete of the Week.

Klucker helped pace The Haven to its first Eastern Wrestling League (EWL) championship title since 1997 as he was the individual champion at 157-lbs, which also earned him an automatic qualification to the Division I National Championships.
 
Klucker had a phenomenal run as he entered the championship as the third seed. He beat John Vaughn from Cleveland State in the first round, in the semifinals he faced former All-American BJ Clagon who pinned Klucker earlier in the year. Klucker came away with the 8-3 decision in this matchup to face Andrew Shomers from Edinboro in the finals.
 
Klucker then gave the crowd a show as he pinned Shomers in just 52 seconds to claim the individual title and give LHU important bonus points.
