Peaches Nesmith (Philadelphia/Northeast) of the Lock Haven University women’s basketball team has been named www.Go.LHU.com Female Athlete of the Week.

Nesmith was also named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Athlete (PSAC) West athlete of the week this week as she led the Lady Eagles to two road wins over Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) East opponents Cheyney and Shippensburg. 

Saturday against Cheyney, Nesmith scored a game-high 24 points and grabbed seven rebounds as she shot 75% (9-for-12) from the field and 75% (6-for-8) from the free throw line.

She followed that up on Sunday against Shippensburg with a double-double as she scored a game high 23 points and added 11 rebounds to lead the Lady Eagles to a huge road win. 

For the week, Nesmith averaged 23.5 points and 9.0 rebounds while shooting 63.3% from the field.
