Casey Carpenter of the LHU Softball team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Female Athlete of the Week.

Carpenter led the Bald Eagle softball team to a 7-1 record including a 6-0 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Central record. In all, Carpenter hit .444 with a .889 slugging percentage. She drove in 12 RBI’s on 12 hits including three home runs.

She had at least two hits in four games including a four hit, four RBI game at Mansfield. In that game she also slugged two home runs. In the second game of the doubleheader at Indiana (Pa.) she hit in three RBI’s while also hitting a home run.

Last week LHU clinched the PSAC Central Championships as they are 16-0 in conference play.
