Alex O’Herrick of the LHU lacrosse team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Female Athlete of the Week.

O’Herrick, a senior midfielder helped nationally-ranked LHU go 2-0 last week. The two wins helped Lock Haven clinch a Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) tournament berth and secure a home playoff game.

Over the two-game span (vs. Ship, W, 21-7 & at Edinboro, W, 17-3), she scored five goals and added three assists. The biggest key in the two wins was O’Herrick’s pure dominance on the draw. She became LHU’s all-time career leader in draws with her 17 vs. Ship and she added 11 more in the win over Edinboro. Her play at the circle paved the way for both wins. She also had three caused turnovers and six ground balls last week.
