Ryan Cruz of the LHU men’s track & field team has been named this week’s Susquehanna Trailways/GoLHU.com Men’s Athlete of the Week.

Last weekend, Cruz and the Bald Eagles competed at the 2018 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships hosted by Slippery Rock University.

Cruz competed in numerous events and helped re-write the LHU records book. In the 100-meter dash, he finished sixth overall and his time of 10.74 is the third fastest in school history. In the 200-meter dash, he placed fifth and his fastest time of 21.70 marks the fourth fastest in program history.

Cruz also competed in two relays for The Haven, as the 4X100-meter squad ran to a third place finish which also captured PSAC honors and the 4X400-meter team placed sixth.
