Lock Haven Athletics

Arlana Roland (Bel Air, Md./Bel Air) of the Lock Haven University women’s basketball team has been named www.Go.LHU.com Female Athlete of the Week.
 
Roland had a big weekend as the forward paced the Lady Eagles offensively. 
 
Friday against Millersville, Roland scored a career-best 14 points on 6-for-11 shooting from the field. 
 
She followed that up on Saturday against West Chester by topping Friday’s effort with 22 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the field.  She also grabbed six rebounds and blocked one shot. 
 
Roland, who is only in her second season playing basketball (originally played volleyball), has become a dominant force down low for LHU. 
 
For the week, Roland averaged 18.0 points and 4.0 rebounds while shooting 58.3% from the field.
