Wade Laudeman of the Lock Haven University men’s outdoor track & field team has been named this week’s Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Field Athlete of the Week.
 
Laudeman was rewarded for his monster javelin throw in the 2019 outdoor season opener.
 
He opened the season with a throw of 214-01.00 back on March 15 at the 2019 Alan Connie Shamrock Invite in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
 
The throw was a 15-foot personal-best and marked an NCAA Division II provisional championship qualifying mark.
 
To date, it’s the best mark in the PSAC by over 15 feet and its ranks No. 2 in the Atlantic Region. It’s currently sits No. 5 on the DII national list. At the time, it was good enough for third at the meet and it is the fourth-best mark in LHU history.
