CJ Anderson has been named this week’s Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Men’s Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week.
Only a freshman, Anderson has already proven he’s the most dynamic and versatile sprinter and hurdler in the PSAC.
On Friday (April 26), on one of the sport’s biggest worldwide stages at Penn Relays, Anderson put in a stellar effort in the 400-meter hurdles. Anderson took seventh out of 50 with a blistering run in the 400mH Championship.
His time of 52.5 marked another personal-best and once again proved to be an NCAA Division II provisional championship qualifying mark. It's the third-fastest time ever run by a Lock Haven male runner in the event and it currently stands as the second-fastest time run so far this season by any male runner in the PSAC.
For the event, it was the fastest time of the week in the PSAC and the fastest in the conference since April 4. It’s the 16th fastest time in Division II to date.
As of today, Anderson ranks top-10 on time in the PSAC in five individual events (100m, 200m, 400m, 110mH & 400mH).
