Leading the way Saturday at the 2019 LHU Qualifier was freshman-phenom CJ Anderson who put on a show and continued to dazzle on the way to a school record and two stadium records. For his efforts Anderson was named the PSAC men's track Athlete of the Week.

Anderson opened his busy day with a sensational effort in the 110-meter hurdles. His time of 14.34 in the prelims broke the school record and the stadium record. He came back in the finals of the 100mH and once again electrified the home crowd with another remarkable effort. Anderson bettered his school record and the stadium record with a winning-time of 14.26. Both his prelim and finals times were clearly NCAA Division II championship-provisional qualifying marks.

Anderson's time of 14.26 is the second-best this season in the PSAC and it ranks among the top-20 in DII (No. 19).

He then came back and won the 400-meter hurdle with another remarkable outing. His time of 52.25 marked the third-fastest time in LHU history and improved upon his personal-best run recently at Penn Relays. The time of 52.25 is No. 2 in the PSAC and No. 15 in DII. The NCAA provisional mark was a stadium record.

To round out the day, he was a part of LHU’s winning 4x100-meter relay team.
