Kayla Brathwaite of the LHU Field Hockey team was named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Player of the Week.

Brathwaite, the Bald Eagles all-around standout had a huge weekend and certainly fueled Lock Haven's 2-0 run. In Friday's important 1-0 victory over A-10 foe VCU, she scored the game's only goal on an incredible individual effort. Brathwaite broke open the game in the second quarter after she scored on a dazzling individual effort. She collected the ball 25 yards from goal and used her speed to breeze through the VCU defense and into the crease where she fired a backhanded-shot past Ram goalkeeper Sasha Elliott. In Sunday's 4-1 win over Lehigh, Brathwaite was all over the field for Lock Haven and proved a major difference-marker, as she scored twice for a three-goal weekend.
