Lock Haven Athletics

Tyler Thomas of the Lock Haven University men's track and field team has been named the GoLhu.com male athlete of the week.

Thomas had a solid outing on Saturday night at the New York Armory’s Saturday at the Armory I meet. He placed first out of 14 athletes including a number of Division I athletes. His mark of 57-3.00 was a PSAC qualifying mark and just missed an NCAA provisional mark. His mark was the best men’s weight throw mark in the PSAC over the weekend and ranks second overall in the conference, only to teammate Mark Manno. Thomas is currently ranked 14th in the nation.  He was also fifth in the shot put with a PSAC mark of 48-00.75.
