Junior goalkeeper Lauren Girardi one of the elite goalkeepers in all of Division II, has been named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Western Division Defensive Athlete of the Week.  
 
Girardi picked up where she left off last season with two strong games to open the 2020 campaign. Through two games, she has 24 saves.
 
In a narrow season-opening loss to rival Bloomsburg, Girardi kept Lock Haven in the game with a brilliant 11-save effort. She helped power the Bald Eagles to victory over Georgian Court with 13 saves. The 13 saves helped carry LHU to a 15-10 win Friday. In two games, Girardi also has seven ground balls and a caused turnover.
