Junior Steve Roberts (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) of the Lock Haven University men’s indoor track & field team has been named the GoLHU.com male athlete of the week.

Roberts had a big weekend for the Bald Eagles at that the Bucknell Bison Open & Multi.

Roberts was second in the 400 meter dash with the nation’s 25th fastest time (49.36). It is the second-fastest time in the PSAC this year. It was the fastest men’s PSAC 400 meter mark of the weekend.

He also ran a 22.52 in the 200 meter dash on Friday night qualifying for the Saturday finals, but opted out of the finals. The time is the fifth fastest PSAC 200-meter dash this year.

On Saturday, Roberts anchored Lock Haven’s winning 4x400 meter relay team with a 49.30. Lock Haven won with a time of 3:20.74.
