Riyana Owens highlighted the action for LHU this past weekend as she improved on two of her own school records this weekend. She opened the day by tying her own school record in the 60m dash with a 7.73 second mark. She returned in the finals to run a blazing 7.70 and finish third overall. She narrowly missed a NCAA DII provisional mark by .03 seconds, but did notch the school record for the second time of the day and a PSAC qualifying-mark.

Owens wasn't done after the 60m. She returned in the 300m and broke her own school best for her third record-setting effort of the day. The 41.88 effort shattered the record and led her to a fourth-place finish.
