Staring down a match score that was looking to come down to criteria, Reid delivered an other-worldly third period. Reid put on a takedown clinic, adding two takedowns and a stalling point to take a 11-6 lead in the bout's waning seconds. With 21 ticks remaining in the bout, Reid scored his third takedown of the period and rode out the final seconds of the bout, adding a riding time point to post a 14-6 major decision victory. Reid's major decision victory handed the Lock Haven faithful - packed into Thomas Fieldhouse - a thrilling 17-16 victory.
On Friday, Reid earned an impressive 18-3 tech fall victory to wrap up the win for the Bald Eagles. Reid used six takedowns, a first-period tilt, a penalty-point via stalling and a 4:34 riding time advantage to cruise to his 11th win of the season. The victory rounded out a 25-11 win for Lock Haven.
