Against Sacred Heart on Saturday, Lock Haven's No. 8 ranked Jessica Johnson (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) squared off against SHU's Madison Sandquist, ranked No. 7 at 143, at 155 pounds. In the matchup of the day, Johnson scored four quick points off of a takedown and an exposure. Sandquist fired back with two quick takedowns of her own and nearly had the pin, but Johnson fought off the attack for a minute straight with her shoulder behind her neck to make it to the second period.

The excitement continued into the second period as the pair traded takedowns. Sandquist picked up another exposure before Johnson was able to slip her way out of another attack. The Bald Eagle then converted a takedown into a last minute pin, keeping her undefeated season alive.

Then against Delaware Valley, No. 8 Jessica Johnson took the mat again and dominated her way to a 40-second pin. Johnson wrapped up a 2-0 day with two more pins and moved her record to 9-0.
