Lysa Mealing (Altoona, Pa./Altoona) of the Lock Haven University women’s basketball team has been named this week’s GoLhu.com female athlete of the week.

Last Wednesday at Clarion, Mealing scored 11 points to go along with seven rebounds.

On Saturday at No. 19 Gannon, Mealing recorded her second career double-double. She scored 13 points and grabbed a game-high 15 boards. She had the double-double by halftime as 11 of her 13 points and 13 of her 15 rebounds came in the opening half.

Over the two game span, Mealing averaged 12 points and 11 rebounds.

In two of her last three games Mealing has recorded 15 rebounds, the most by a Lady Eagle since 2007.

Mealing was named the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West freshman of the week for her efforts.
