Gao Xuan (Dong Ying, China/Zibo No. 10 Middle Schooll) of LHU’s volleyball team has been named the
www.GoLHU.com Female Athlete of the Week.
This is the second time Xuan has been given the honor of PSAC East female Athlete of the Week and
www.GoLHU.com Female Athlete of the Week.
The senior outside hitter had a solid weekend, as she led The Haven to a 3-1 record in PSAC crossover action at Clarion and Slippery Rock.
Xuan started the weekend off with 19 kills and 14 digs in a thrilling 3-2 loss in five-sets to host Clarion.
In a rematch of last year's PSAC Championship, Xuan tallied 17 kills and 14 digs in a 3-1 win over the Cal (Pa.)
On Saturday, Xuan went on to lead The Haven to a 3-1 win over Slippery Rock and a 3-0 sweep of IUP.
For the weekend, Xuan recorded 60 kills, 45 digs and a .309 hitting percentage.
The Lady Eagles are back in action this Friday at Millersville and Saturday at Shippensburg.
