Jamie Hunter (Marietta, Pa./Donegal) of LHU’s women soccer team has been named the
www.GoLHU.com Female Athlete of the Week.
Hunter led The Haven to a 1-0-1 record this week.
Hunter recorded three shots on goal on Tuesday in Lock Haven's 0-0 tie with Millersville.
Saturday however, Hunter was the story. She scored two goals and assisted on a third to help LHU pull off a 3-2 upset win over No. 2 West Chester.
It was the first time since 2003 that the Lady Eagles beat a top-5 nationally ranked team.
Hunter scored the first goal of the game in the 13th minute and scored what would be the eventual game-winner in the 54th minute.
It marked the second time in her career that Hunter scored two goals in a game and her five points were the most the sophomore has ever tallied in a single match.
The Lady Eagles travel to Mansfield Saturday October 20
th to take on the Mountaineers at 1:30 p.m.
