Gao Xuan (Dong Ying, China/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) of LHU’s volleyball team has been named the
www.GoLHU.com Female Athlete of the Week.
Earlier this week Xuan was named PSAC East Athlete of the week.
Xuan was at peak performance this week, as she led The Haven to a 4-0 record.
Xuan, who only played in three of the four matches, recorded double-digit kills in all of the matches that she saw time and LHU did not drop a set the entire week.
She posted 10 kills and 12 digs in The Haven's first match of the week against East Stroudsburg. She followed that up with 11 kills, eight digs and a .476 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win over Kutztown.
After sitting out the first match of a double-header Saturday, Xuan came back to record 15 kills, 12 digs and a remarkable .789 hitting percentage against Concord.
She finished the week with 36 kills, 32 digs, a .500 hitting percentage and averaged 4.00 kills and 3.56 digs per game.
The Lady Eagle’s will be back in action this Friday night at 7 p.m. against West Chester at Thomas Field House.
