Wali Hepburn (Philadelphia/Nuemann-Goretti) of the Lock Haven University basketball team has been named the www.GoLHU.com Male Athlete of the Week.
Hepburn had a huge weekend as he led LHU to a 1-1 record.
In The Haven's overtime loss to Millersville Saturday, Hepburn scored 30 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, recording his first double-double of the season.
Sunday in an overtime win over Shippensburg, Hepburn scored 40 points, becoming the sixth Bald Eagle in school history to do so.
It marked the ninth 40-point game in school history and came exactly six years to the day since LHU's last 40-point game.
For the weekend, Hepburn averaged 35.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 3.0 steals.
He currently leads the PSAC in scoring, averaging 25.8 points per game and is second in assists at 5.0 per game.
The Bald Eagles will be back in action Saturday December 8th at Mercyhurst. The game will begin at 3 p.m.
