J.J. Hilliard (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) of the Lock Haven University women's basketball team has been named this week's GoLhu.com female athlete of the week.
Hilliard had a solid weekend for the Lady Eagles, leading them to a 1-1 record.
Hilliard scored eight points in a loss at No. 25 Bloomsburg on Friday.
She followed that up on Saturday with a huge game, as she scored 15 points, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished out six assists in The Haven's comeback win over Mansfield.
It was Hilliard's first career double-double and her 11 rebounds and six assists were both career-highs.
For the weekend, Hilliard averaged 11.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and three assists per game.
Hilliard was named the PSAC West Freshman of the Week for her efforts.
