SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – The Lock Haven University football team (0-8, 0-5 PSAC West) lost to host Slippery Rock University (6-2, 3-2 PSAC West) 56-14 today on The Rock's homecoming.
LHU jumped out an early 7-0 lead as quarterback Jarrett Kratzer (Reedsville, Pa./Indian Valley) scored on a one-yard run, capping off an 11-play, 74-yard drive.
Lock Haven trailed 14-7 after the first quarter and the Bald Eagles were down 35-7 at halftime.
The Haven scored again with 4:23 left in the third quarter as Krazter hit
Jesse Hoover (Curwensville, Pa./Curwensville) on a 27-yard pass play.
Kratzer finished 15-for-30 passing for 122 yards with two interceptions and the one TD. He also rushed for 54 yards.
Jay Hartman (Lewsitown, Pa./Indian Valley) made four catches for 41 yards.
Nick Gounaris (Morrisville, Pa./Pennsbury) made a team-high 10 tackles for LHU.
Lock Haven is back in action next Saturday, October 30 at 7 p.m. when it hosts Edinoro.
