PHILADELPHIA – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (14-6, 5-2 A-10) closed out the regular season with a 3-2 loss at Temple (9-11, 4-3 A-10).
Despite the loss, the Lady Eagles have qualified for next weekend's Atlantic 10 Conference (A-10) Tournament. More information regarding official A-10 seeds and match ups will be released in the coming days.
Lock Haven was down 2-1 at halftime after Temple jumped to an early 2-0 lead.
Tonia-Marie James (D'Abadie, Trinidad & Tobago/St. Augustine Girls High) made it 2-1 in the 34th minute.
The Owls were up 3-1 when
Nicole Weaknecht (Kutztown, Pa./Kutztown) made it 3-2 in the 64th minute.
Erin Terreson (Robesonia, Pa./Conrad Weiser) made four saves in the cage for The Haven.
