LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University men's basketball (0-1) fell to visiting Mansfield University (1-0) 68-43 tonight in the season-opener for both teams.
The Bald Eagles trailed 36-22 at halftime.
Sharif Bolton (Philadelphia/Franklin Regional Center) had a solid night for LHU. He knocked down a team-high 13 points to pace The Haven offensively.
Bolton hit a pair of three-pointers and was 7-for-11 from the free-throw line.
Newcomer Barrett Hanner (Avis, Pa./Jersey Shore) scored eight points and added four rebounds.
Armandi Marshall (Philadelphia/Olney) led LHU with five rebounds, three of which were on the defensive side.
Three different Bald Eagles had four rebounds in the game.
Derrison Anthony led the way for Mansfield. He netted a game-high 19 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
The Bald Eagles hit the road to take West Liberty University on Sunday, November 14 at 2 p.m.
