PHILADELPHIA – The Lock Haven University field hockey team (7-9, 0-2 A-10) lost 2-0 today at La Salle University (6-7, 1-0 A-10) in Atlantic 10 (A-10) Conference play.

La Salle used two first half goals to down the Lady Eagles.

Lindsay Fry put the Explorers up 1-0 in the 28th minute on a penalty stroke and Janel Paukovits made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute.

Kelsey Moll (Newmanstown, Pa./Elco) and Lindsay Staufenberg (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) each played a half in goal for LHU. Moll got the start and made six saves.

Kristi Shepps (Willow Street, Pa./Penn Manor) did everything she could to spark Lock Haven's attack. She finished with three shots.

Lock Haven returns to action on Sunday (October 16) at Richmond University (1 p.m.).
