Box Score

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. –
The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (5-7-2, 3-6-2 PSAC) dominated the match from the opening whistle and the Lady Eagles were rewarded with a hard-fought 1-0 win over No. 16 Kutztown University (11-4, 9-3 PSAC) despite severe weather conditions tonight at Hubert Jack Stadium.

Natalie Isett (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) scored the game's only goal in the 14th minute as the teams battled through torrential downpour and an hour of lightning delays in a match that lasted over three hours from start to finish.

Isett's goal was a brilliant one just 13:28 in. She collected a pass from Carly D'Orsaneo (Elverson, Pa./Living Word Academy) and took two steps before drilling the ball low to the far post where it beat KU goalie Casey Behrendt.

Hayley Zinn (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) played all 90 minutes in goal and made two saves for LHU.

Lock Haven controlled the flow of the match throughout and got a tremendous effort from every player in lineup including D'Orsaneo. The midfielder was all over the field tonight for Lock Haven and she jump started several key offensive chances for The Haven.

Jamie Hunter (Marietta, Pa./Donegal) was once again a key for LHU in the transition game. It was her strong run and initial through ball that helped set up Lock Haven's goal.

Morgan Rogers (Glenmore, Pa./Downingtown East) and Harley Rolph (Newton, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) led a spectacular defensive effort from the Lady Eagles.

The Lady Eagles remain at home on Saturday, October 22 to host Mercyhurst College in a Homecoming clash.
