MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Lock Haven University women's soccer team (6-8-3, 4-7-2 PSAC) got goals from three different players and the Lady Eagles took down Mansfield University (2-13, 0-13 PSAC) 3-1 today at Mansfield High School.
Madison Taylor (Center Township, Pa./Center) was the difference for The Haven as she scored once to the tie the match early and she set up two LHU second-half goals.
Down 1-0, Taylor tied the match in the 39th minute.
Taylor set up both Lock Haven goals in the second half.
Amy Wittman (Delmont, Pa./Franklin Regional) made it 2-1 and scored in the eventual game-winner in the 47th minute of play.
Bree Orth (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) made it 3-1 in the 75th minute as The Haven women were cruising despite the cold, windy and snowy conditions.
Hayley Zinn (Wyomissing, Pa./Wyomissing) made three saves for LHU.
The Lady Eagles will close out the 2011 season on Saturday, October 29 at 4:30 p.m. at Slippery Rock University.
