LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Lock Haven University volleyball team (15-8, 12-4 PSAC) took down a scrappy Kutztown University (20-7, 10-6 PSAC) team 3-0 (25-21, 26-24 & 25-22) in front of very appreciative home crowd at Thomas Fieldhouse.

Gao Xuan (Dong Ying, China/Zibo No. 10 Middle School) and Haley Gribler (Powell, Ohio/Olentagny-Liberty) paced Lock Haven offensively with 15 and 11 kills, respectively.

Grace Novacek (Aliquippa, Pa./Hopewell) and Alex Brehony (Topton, Pa./Brandywine Heights) both added nine kills for LHU.

Alexa Garrity (Boothwyn, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) directed the Lady Eagle offense with 45 assists.

Erin Walsh (Bethlehem, Pa./Bethlehem Catholic) led LHU defensively and finished with 34 digs.

Bethany Burns (Erie, Pa./McDowell) added 14 digs and three aces for The Haven.

Novacek added five blocks (two solo and three block assists) in the straight set win.

The Lady Eagles return to tomorrow (Saturday, October 29) at 1 p.m. when they host West Chester.
