Brader rushes for career-high 168 yards; Bald Eagles fall at Edinboro

EDINBORO, Pa. –
Brandon Brader (Bethlehem, Pa./Liberty) rushed for a career-best 168 yards on 33 carries, but it wasn't enough as the Lock Haven University football team (0-8, 0-6 PSAC West) fell to host Edinboro University (7-2, 4-2 PSAC West) 42-7 today in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.

The Fighting Scots jumped out to an early lead and led 14-0 after the first quarter.

With 2:02 left in the first half, the Bald Eagles prevented the shutout on a Jarrett Kratzer (Reedsville, Pa./Indian Valley) one-yard touchdown run. The touchdown made it 21-7 in favor of Edinboro.

Krazter, who started at quarterback for the second time this season capped off a seven-play, 57-yard drive with his one yard touchdown. He finished 8-for-24 passing for 81 yards.

Edinboro led 28-8 at half and the Fighting Scots scored a touchdown in each of the final two quarters to earn the PSAC West win.

Jesse Hoover (Curwensville, Pa./Curwensville) made three catches for 40 yards.

Derrick Watkins (Emmaus, Pa./Emmaus) and Ryan Good (Tower City, Pa./Williams Valley) both made eight tackles for Lock Haven.

Tyrail Morgan (Pittsburgh/Oliver) added seven stops for The Haven.

Edinboro was paced by quarterback Cody Harris, who threw four touchdowns including three to David Bostic, who had 255 yards through the air.

Lock Haven returns home next Saturday, November 5 for the Bald Eagles final home game of the 2011 season. LHU hosts IUP at 3 p.m. from Hubert Jack Stadium.
