Johnson nets 20 points as Haven falls to West Virginia Wesleyan 78-53

INDIANA, Pa. –
The Lock Haven University men's basketball team (0-9) dropped its second of two games at 2011 Indiana Regional Medical Center Classic, hosted by Indiana (Pa.) University as the Bald Eagles fell to West Virginia Wesleyan (5-3) 78-53 tonight.

The Bald Eagles got 20 points from freshman Terrell Johnson (Philadelphia/Imhotep Charter) and were on fire from three-point range, but it wasn't enough to get past West Virginia Wesleyan and crack the win column for the first time this year.

LHU got 33 of its 53 points from behind the arc after going 11-for-26 (42 percent) from downtown.

Johnson hit five three-pointers and was 7-for-12 from the field on the way to his 20 points. He also had three assists and two rebounds.

Armandi Marshall (Philadelphia/Olney East), Anthony Baker (Bushkill, Pa./East Stroudsburg North) and Lucas Mosca (Baltimore/Towson H.S.) all had eight points for LHU.

Julian Bond (Philadelphia/Plymouth Whitemarsh) hit a pair of three's and added two rebounds. He also had a team-high five assists.

West Virginia Wesleyan opened on a 7-0 run and led 37-21 at the break. WVW put four players in double figures including a game-high 23 points from Kelsey Williams.

Lock Haven returns to action in 2012 when the Bald Eagles open the New Year on Friday, January 6 at 6 p.m. at home vs. East Stroudsburg. LHU will host Kutztown on Saturday, January 7 (6 p.m.).
