BOX SCORE

SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. – Senior Kristen Kudrick (Harrison City, Pa./Penn Trafford) became the 12th woman in school history to hit the prestigious 1,000 point plateau and the Lock Haven University women's basketball team (10-9, 3-5 PSAC West) downed host Slippery Rock University (3-18, 1-8 PSAC West) 59-52.

Kudrick needed only five points to reach 1,000, but she netted a game-high 13 to go along with nine rebounds to lead the Lady Eagles past their hard-fighting hosts.

Sharay Hall (Philadelphia/Carver) was Lock Haven's second player in double figures. She netted 12 points and added eight rebounds, which proved to be a huge key in The Haven's important Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) West win.

Emily Daugherty (Laughlintown, Pa./Ligonier) and Mahogany Spence (Scranton, Pa./G.A.R.) added nine and eight points, respectively.

Spence also added nine rebounds as the Lady Eagles had a huge night on the boards. LHU dominated The Rock in rebounds 52-29.

LHU trailed by two at half, 28-26, but came alive in the second to earn the hard-fought win.

Kudrick now has 1,008 career points.

The Lady Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, Feb. 12 at 1 p.m. when they host Gannon University.
